    If you have a cosmic.voyage account you can now connect to the server
    securely on port 563 and authenticate using your system username and
    password. That authorized connection will let you post remotely, like
    I'm doing here! Connecting on the normal port 119 with or without authentication will only allow read-only access to the groups.

    If you use Gnome Evolution or Thunderbird just indicate your connection
    is using SSL and specify port 563 and you should be good to go. If
    you're using slrn you'll need to specify the connection using the snews://cosmic.voyage:563 connection. It explicitly needs that "snews"
    bit or it doesn't know to use SSL.
