• Meetups...?

If this is a place to post about meeting up other tildeverse users in meatspace, then that's pretty cool!

Sometimes I forget the "real world" and the "internet world" are the
same place. People on the internet always seem way friendlier; there's
no way they could exist in meatspace too, haha!

Anyway though I'm based in Canada. I'm in the "Not Toronto" part of
canada thouh, so I'm not sure how close other tildepeeps are to
me, and I'm not sure how comfortable I am with flying just yet, what
    with covid...

If by meetups, this means "Internet meetups" like IRC and XMPP groups,
then I usually try my best to hang out during snowdusk's wasabi hour on tilderadio, though I'm notoriously bad for forgetting the date & time! I
think I only actually managed to catch it twice, despite the fact that I
try my best every week, haha!

I've now met two different tilde people IRL and it was really fun both
times. If any of you travel through Iceland, send me a note. I'll grab
coffee with you and we can chat about the world.

I don't get to Not-Toronto very often, but I'll be sure to annouce
travels here in the future on the off chance someone is in my path.

It does, haha! I just feel like I get a lot of "Canada? Are you in Toronto?".
I don't blame them of course; Toronto is a pretty big city!

    I'm in Alberta.

Same here! Edmonton, in my case. Hey maybe we should hang out sometime (/especially/ if you're more southwest; I've been looking for an excuse to see the mountains again, haha!)
