• Tilde.club newspool now restored

    From xwindows@xwindows@tilde.club to tilde.club on Fri Sep 18 18:59:59 2020
    Hi everyone,

I'm writing here to announce that I have now successfully restored
the news timeline of tilde.club that had been cut short to < 1 month
since early September, due to configuration problem.

The newspool used for restoration was from cosmic.voyage, obtained via
and patched in by the means of suck-feed (with `suck` program).

Apart from that, both tilde.club and cosmic.voyage have now extended
default retention of article to 3 years (1095 days). If each article
requested its own expiration date, it would be retained at 1 year
(365 days) mimimum regardless. (If it requested its own expiration
later than that, the requested expiration date will be used,
    which may exceed 3 years)

    Cheers for Usenet,
    ~xwindows

Apparently, there was an oversight regarding the omission of
tilde.institute and tilde.your newsgroups on tilde.club's Netnews service. (Though, according to cosmic.voyage, both groups had no article back at
the time I fixed tilde.club's newspool hole)

Now this problem has been rectified by ~deepend adding INN configuration
to include the missing groups, and me suck-feeding the article posted
in there in the meantime to bootstrap-sync tilde.club's newspool for them.

Anyone who are looking forward to participate in tilde.institute newsgroup,
or tilde.your newsgroup; now you can post away.

    Cheers,
    ~xwindows
