At this point, game theory suggests to let others have the

can grant while avoiding taking the vaccine oneself :-P

I have put that into practice a long time ago. We shall see
    what transpires.

The tourists are rolling in. Some are bypassing the use of
masks when they enter my shop. Some locals are proudly
sporting "I've Got the Shot" stickers on their clothes, ..and
    NOT wearing masks.

I'm getting a lot of "I thought you were closed. Are you
allowed to be open? Are you essential?" Sheeeesh.

Hahaha, that is tourists for you.

I don't think masks are as effective as they are cracked up to be, but taking the shot is no excuse for foregoing them imo.

Personally, I don't care what they do, as long as they don't
feel that the jab all of a sudden gives them a privilege to get
up close and into my face. And, if one feels like they have a
cold/flu, then for crying out loud, they should take
precautions and wait it out at home if you can.

I just learned that the local marinas (or at least one that
someone was telling me about) would only release a boat for use
*if* it was required for an owner who's property was water-
access only. AND, you had to prove that the property was
yours, not just a rental or something.

Apparently it is to discourage tourists who would come up to
their cottages when they shouldn't be travelling in this
    locked-down province anyway.

I was not aware that marinas were doing this. I don't think I
came across anything that mandated marinas to do that. The
gov't has simply used the term "lockdown" and then it is up to
the rest of us to figure out how to implement it.

The gov't just sweeps the magic words "lockdown", "stay home,
save lives", and the rest of us are left to figure out how to
put food on on our tables, pay bills and creditors. Screw
    that.

The best I could do last month was $80 off my electric bill.
Rent and other overhead remained the same as always. I could
have done better with the hydro, but I decided to illuminate
one third of the shop two days of the week so that people could
see better. And that's with all lights off Sunday to Thursday.

It still irks me when some people "think" that I was "supposed
to be closed" assuming that my biz is non-essential, yet not
considering that if I don't sell anyhting, then I don't eat.
So much for "save lives", eh?

This. We have too many "close talkers" and "won't stay at homers" in this area. I have enjoyed my personal space during these otherwise horrible
    times. :)

    This, too.

That's what some people are doing here and it's backfiring in their face rather badly.

It's only for the little people, you know. Look at our idiot-in-chief
wearing a mask indoors for political theater.
