• The Fall of Afghanistan

From Mike Powell@618:250/1 to ALL on Tue Aug 17 16:29:00 2021
Towards the end of this article, it explains one reason the Afghans didn't
want to fight without US assistance... because they knew the Taliban had
plenty of assistance from other countries in the region, and because there
are not really 300K troops, like Biden claimed.

It also tells of frustration between members of the administration, the
State Department, the miliary, and the diplomatic staff that had to be
    quickly evacuated.

That's what happens when our military leaders are too busy being woke.

And when their commander in chief is too busy being senile.

I thought the actual commander-in-chief was Harris? XD

IMO it looks like the whole Afghanistal deal was like every other government or big corporation deal. A lot of resources were spent on certain task and only a small fraction of them was put to good use, while the rest was wasted and declared to have been spent in something cool.

"We have spend so many million in training the local army, that is money well spent!"

    Except resoults show otherwise.

Very much like when some corporation spends some millions in training courses for having employees be nicer to each other or similar non-sense. It is wasted money and everybody knows it, but it allows the board to declare they are being cool because they have spent X resources on making the workplace a good place for employees.

Which in the case of Afghanistan sucks, because a big part of the resources was the lives of people.
