• US pro Axis?

From Shurato@618:300/50 to All on Mon Mar 3 13:30:00 2025
Can someone on here please explain to me how the US could vote with solely
Axis countries in the UN resolution to condemn Russia? It doesn't make any sense that my country wouldn't vote with the Allies and vote Yes.

What a shit show. usa drafts a un resolution "for a swift end
to the conflict between ukr and urs", but when amendments
stating "rus as the agressor" and mentioning ukr "territorial
inegrity" were approved, by other countries, usa abstained from
    its own draft resolution.

    I read that here:

    https://www.axios.com/2025/02/24/ukraine-russia-un-resolution-
    trump

"I would rather not explain it now, but it's sort of self
evident I think," Trump told reporters Monday when asked why
    the U.S. opposed Ukraine's resolution.

He would rather not explain it because he doesn't like that
there were admendments! It has to be Trump's way or no way. We
    already know that.

Because the American plan is to force an unstable ceasefire in which European military powers will be used as guaranteers of the ceasefire. That means European troops and bases on Ukrainian soil buying American weapons.

For the plan to work the Russians have to buy it, which means having a good enough relation with them. Plus it is hard enough to condemn Russia for breaking the Minsk accords when Merkel herlself prety much said the Minsk accords were an European strategy to pump weapons into Ukraine under the table.

That is my guess. If you want something better, go ask the people who did the voting.

Putin would not buy the Koreanesque ceasefire America seeks to get rich if that second amendment got taken seriously.

America is also the actor in the strongest position right now when it comes to this scenario. Actors in stronger positions can afford to impose their conditions. It is really that simple.

As an American, I think we need to pull completely out of Ukraine, period.
No help, no "contracts", nothing. The only reason we go involved was for
thwe Biden family's money laundering. We need that money here at home.

Let Ukraine and Russia fight it out but without our help.

No NATO membership for Ukraine unless you want to start WWIII.

Now Zelenskyy is groveling after Trump "paused" all military aid.

I think the people of Ukraine need to get rid of Zelenskyy and get someone whose head is not so far up their ass.

This is all just the MIC wanting more money now.
