Can someone on here please explain to me how the US could vote with solely Axis countries in the UN resolution to condemn Russia? It doesn't make
any sense that my country wouldn't vote with the Allies and vote Yes.

What a shit show. usa drafts a un resolution "for a swift end to
the conflict between ukr and urs", but when amendments stating
"rus as the agressor" and mentioning ukr "territorial inegrity"
were approved, by other countries, usa abstained from its own
draft resolution.
I read that here:
https://www.axios.com/2025/02/24/ukraine-russia-un-resolution- trump
"I would rather not explain it now, but it's sort of self evident
I think," Trump told reporters Monday when asked why the U.S.
opposed Ukraine's resolution.
He would rather not explain it because he doesn't like that there
were admendments! It has to be Trump's way or no way. We already
know that.

America is also the actor in the strongest position right now when it comes to this scenario. Actors in stronger positions can afford to
impose their conditions. It is really that simple.
