I know it is a bit of a pety thing to be pissed off about,
but my experience with Linux is that it usually works
better after each upgrade so when the trend throws an
exception it bothers me :-)
Why can't you hum steady along with the 14.2 that has the power
management features that you like?
I did for long. In fact, old Slackware versions have a respectable degree of support after they are replaced by a newer one. Unfortunately, 14.2 was kind of obsolete for what I need to do with
that laptop so it needed a full upgrade.
