Wow.. I may be sitting on a fortune and not know it.. I think I still
have about 40 vinyl records. I do have a Dual Turntable at least, but
it's ages since I played a record. And most of mine were only played
once when I recorded it onto a Cassette and used that instead.
These days I don't use either. I have many hundreds of MP3's on my computer and phone and I don't really drive enough to worry about a lot
of music there but it can play music from a flash drive if I want to.

I have a nice vinyl record player and a whole slew of
vinyl records that my late Mom and Dad bought. I dare
say there are at least 200 vinyl records here.
I'm afraid to post something on Facebook, as I don't
want some thug coming by, killing me, taking everything
he could, then burn the place down to cover the
evidence.

With not being able to drive or have a car anymore due to vision
issues from dry corneas, I basically am stuck at home.
True.. it's never a good idea to allow a potential buyer to
meet at your own home.

Nice! All classic rock, I presume? ;-)
Eyedrops? Bicycle?

I plan to put out my collection of about 1200 LPs in my shop,
I can pretty much get many familiar tunes and albums on Spotify>Spotify is $11.99/mo now, that's far less than I

I've got about 10,000 songs here but I rarely get a chance to listen to

That's quite a collection.. I've used IHeart as well at times when
I was away from home and wanted to hear my local radio station.
That's a handy service..
I use IHeart mainly when riding my scooter around town. Better than having>to carry music on another device.

I suppose a radio would work as well but you get a world of variety
when you can choose a station from anywhere.
It's a long time since I actually bought music. It's not
that I couldn't afford it, I just don't play it as much as
I used to and I can generally find MP3's of anything I've
looked for at no cost from somewhere..
Basically I have about 750 tracks set to play Random on my
computer when I'm doing eMail, and that's about the only
time I play music at home anymore..

And, none of that has changed...never mind all the vinyl
LP record albums here.
To add insult to injury, I had to quit driving, and sell
my car in June, 2022...as dry corneas would cause
blurred vision without warning. So now, it's extremely
rare that I even leave home. With my younger brother's
suicide in early July 2024, I'm the last of my line.

Yes.. I remember you mentioning all that before. Restricted
mobility sucks. I've had to arrange for a taxi a few times in
the past, and that can eat up a lot of time waiting for one to
arrive, and booking the next one - especially being on a rural
backroad.
I'll pretty much play material from the same playlist/>collection. But recently, I prefer things to be quiet while

Yes, where I am I could wait half a day for a taxi and then
they'd charge me $80 or more for a one way trip into town..
That's in summer actually. This time of year I might never get
one to come out here..
Or.. try to make arrangements to have your stash stored at a
church or some friend's place? ..and make arrangements to go
there for the meet-ups?

My little old 400 sq ft cabin is surrounded by newer multi-milion dollar summer homes that they would choose first..
Are you classified Legally Blind? If so there are a number of
agencies that might be able to help. The big one is The
American Federation for the Blind (AFB). Their website is
AFB.org. In lieu of that, what about friends, family,
Uber/Lyft, buses, ride shares, cabs, etc. Also, check with
your local/state government for possible services. Also, check
with local churches; the larger ones may offer some kind of
door-to-door service.
The problem now is "dry eye syndrome" or dry corneas.

That's painfully high.

I could see that. Where I am, it's easier to get an Uber than a taxi.

Don't be so sure. Odds are those high-class homes have alarm systems, so whi>you may not be the cream of the crop, you'd be a lot easier to break into.

I now have permanently dry eyes after my cataract surgeries too.

Cross country busses do stop in town though if you can get on or off
them somewhere else.. Lots of trains too..

Is that what everyone gets after cataract surgery?
