Hi everyone,

So I'll be spending Thanksgiving alone and I wanted to buy some turkey loaf.

At Walmart, they wanted USD$15+ for 2.82 pounds (1.28 kg) of turkey loaf.

Looks like I'll just buy some lasagna instead...or maybe a ham.

What a ripoff.

Honestly... I don't really care enough to want to do it. However years
ago I promised I'd be nice for one holiday. Somehow we've all decided
on US thanksgiving.

I'll be cooking for 2 fucking days, inviting the family and friends here, tripping over everything, yelling at the kids and dogs. I have to do all
this shit sober which makes it even less fun.

I would trade your alone time and frozen lasagna in a SECOND.

You mentioning Stoffers caused me to think of a Stoffers dinner we like here. Can't remember the exact name for it without going to the basement to see the name.
It has Pasta, Broccoli, Chicken and a Sauce.

We get 3 meals from the frozen dinner.
It'd be almost a whole week for You if you divide the dinner up in 6 pieces as we do after it's been cooked.
Tupperware to the rescue.

Sean, that Stoffers dinner that I mentioned is their Cheesy Chicken & Broccoli Pasta Bake.

After it is cooked we cut in half on the longest direction and then cut the shortest direction in thirds.
Makes a fair size serving for each of us, cutting it in four pieces like You do would have me waddling from the table after eating that portion. ;-))

$5.31 a pound - seems reasonable?

I'd recommend a turkey pot pie - all of the best of a turkey dinner in a
single pot - plus pie crusts!

I have the worlds worst kitchen. It's smaller then the kitchen on a
boat. I have no counter space what so ever, so if you are cooking on
the hob, you can't prepare something else.

We also have a tiny little fridge with no space. All in all it makes
for a great time!

Not when you can get a regular oven-baked turkey at 90 cents a pound. I did find a 3 pound Butterball brand boneless turkey breast at Aldi for $10.

$40 each way (I checked today).

Ride-sharing serviuces are horribly expensive. I can catch a cab for $24
both ways but the VA is now keeping my $172 a month disability pay to make
me pay for co-pays that I don't actually owe.
