    Hi everyone,

    I don't normally bring othernet news into Micronet but for any of us who participated in Fidonet's COOKING echo, I have it on good word that Dale
    Shipp has passed away.

    Dale and I didn't get along much--he blamed me for his decision to step down
    as COOKING's moiderator decades ago--but in his later years, we both
    mellowed out and at least had a modicum of tolerance with each other.

    That echo has lost a lot of good people over the years. I know it's a part
    of getting older but that fact doesn't make death any easier to bear.

    Rest in peace, Dale.
