    Hello,

So I've been quite around here for a bit, I was promoted at work and
no longer drive people around, now I drive a desk for 8-12 hours a day
dealing with Schedules, Payroll, and asking the drivers 120 times a day
"Did you knock on the door?".

Andrea's been off work as her job ended a couple months ago, so she's
    been doing the cooking.

I also quit drinking for a couple reasons, Reason 1 we're now a one
income household, and reason 2 it's a lot of empty calories and I'd
rather use those for food. :) Now maybe I can enjoy the odd fried
    thing, or desert.

    That's my update.

Enjoying fried things and desert is a good reason to quit drinking. :)

it's good to hear that you quit drinking. i need to pair down my drinking because i can knock back half a liter quit easily. I don't drink every day, but still, i worry.

btw, did you try doing doordash in your area? i was able to make pretty good money, but it can be hit or miss.

Not a bad thing I hope.

I lost an uncle at the age of 50 to alcoholism. Glad you quit drinking. Your body will thank you later.

Just dealing with a drama llama in MIN_ADMIN, working on my doors, and enjoying the hard work of diabetes control finally paying off as my average reading are 186 mm/dL which is high but not at 300+ like they used to be. That's one of the reasons I've been so active in BBSing; I can think clearly again.

Looking at possible foot reconstruction surgery in the upcoming future.

Yeah it can take over if you let it.

btw, did you try doing doordash in your area? i was able to make pretty good money, but it can be hit or miss.

No one here uses doordash. It's Skip the Dishes or Uber Eats. No I haven't done either, I may try uber eats on the weekends though.

It sometimes is. The drivers refuse to unplug the tablet's so they start
to over heat and then don't charge. At that point. "Can you UNPLUG it from
the car and turn off the screen let it cool. Don't put it in front of the heat. Let it cool right down. Then turn it off and back on and see if it
will charge. No no no not now. You need to let it cool off. Just write
down your next call and do it with the tablet OFF. Use a pen and paper,
the pen that you fill your log book out with. The paper? The back of the
cash out sheet. No WAIT it's only been 15 seconds. You need to wait a bit"

I have done ubereats. what i notice is the 'pay' for the runs are lower, but people were nicer and tipped me well.

since i've driving for doordash a lot and i have a high rating, they stopped giving me the money makers and runs avg about 6 bucks. they want new people doing doordash all the time and pay them more. they want them to think they
    will always make 60+ /hr

when i was hitting it hard was making about 350/wk and i was driving about 3 hrs a day. but i had horrible days and awesome days. and it was a LOT of driving and i had to gas up every 2 days.

If i travel to a nicer more rural area i can get 15 dollar orders but there's more driving.

I've certainly had some weird experiences delivering.

    Miss the income.

I understand; I miss making a living wage. Living off of crumbs from the government sucks but it's better than no income at all.

Better then cutting it off for sure!

That still remains a possibility if the reconstruction doesn't take but I am prepared for it if it happens. I'd rather not but at this point in time, everything is om the table.

The naked women i am fine with. i had one nice one open up the door in a robe that wasn't closed and saw her full nude. then there was another one that i called up because the app had her map pin wrong and asked her to open her door so i could make sure i was at the correct place. she opened up and was very pretty and wearing a shirt but no bottom and i could see the bottom.

Then there was a time i delivered in the hood and it said 'hand it to me'.
and it's during snow and of course these people dont shovel their snow and it's now all ice... and their porch has 3 inches of ice on it. i'm so tall i was able to knock on their door off to the side and not have to get on their porch.

Door creeks open with my knock. people start talking inside. very dark inside and dark outside. No porchlight on. I'm wearing all black and a hood. a lady lets her dog loose on me and it runs up to me and sees how big i am and gets a whiff of me and thinks 'nope' and runs back. Luckily it wasn't a pitbull, those guys love a fight.

Btw, this is after me txting through the app 'hello, i will be there in 5 mins', etc.

Anyways she sent some 5 year old to get the food and then i reported them. i hope they got kicked off.
