• Fall weather preview

From Sean Dennis@618:618/1 to All on Tue Aug 29 18:51:14 2023
    Hi everyone,

This week is going to be nice. Upper 70s/lower 80s during the day, lower 60s/upper 50s at night. So happy it's fall but hope the weather notices and cools off.

Are your temperatures predicted to go back up (way up) starting on the
weekend? We will have a few *very* nice days, then are expected to be back around 90F just in time for the holiday weekend.

One difference from last week is that the humidity is not forecast to go
back up too far with the temperatures.

Nice here (87F) but the humidity is at 50% already and expected to get worse.

Ouch, I hate high humidity. It feels so uncomfortable.

I like it. It's often 90+ degrees (F) here, with humidity at 70-80%.

i would feel disgusting all day long in that heat and humidity.
i prefer mild weather like in my state.

right now it's 77f with 85% humidity and i have the AC on.

Hehe. Like I said, you get acclimated to it, and it does take a while.
I've lived here for 21+ years now, and at first it was pretty brutal to
adjust to. But now, it's still bothersome when at the extremes, but not
    too often really.

The funny part is that I grew up near the Canadian border, in Vermont.
Talk about the complete opposite. Extreme winters is an understatement.
I did live in other places between then and now too. When you live in a
cold place for a while, you get adjusted to the cold, just like you get adjusted to the heat (eventually). :-)

I will say that this summer we are getting close to completing is the
hottest one I can remember here, no doubt. It's actually been closer to
100 degrees here for most of the last two months, and still humid.

Same here, its 100+ but not much humidity.
