Everyone I know always yacks about what are the best 80's movies.

Thats unbelievably boring... I love yacking about the worst.

Off the top of my head:

    - Killer Klowns from outer space
    - Return of the killer tomatos
    - Return to horror high
    - Star crystal
    - The mutilator
    - Sleepaway camp
    - Flowers in the attic
    - Most movies by the Vestron or New World Pictures / Roger Corman studios

My sister works at a local hotel in the cleaning crew. Vanilla Ice just came to town as a part of a 90's reunion tour with other bands and she cleaned his room. When he left, he left her a tour t-shirt, LOL. She was like "no tip?" and I told her that t-shirt was probably $50+ at the show.

Yeah.. but t-shirts are probably just $10 or less wholesale.

$50 in cash would have been a better gesture. Then the person
can decide whether they want to get t-shirt at the show or not.

    Nice story.

Last weekend we were at Lost 80's Live. It's a show with about 13-15 bands that all do 3-4 of their hits. Groups like Trans-X, Naked Eyes, Annimotion, Wang Chung, The (English) Beat, Shannon, Stacy Q, and believe it or not, Musical Youth. This is our 4th year going and it's always a good, entertaining show, lasts for about 6 hours and not expensive. The tour is about to come to a close for this year. I was speaking to the organizer, and he said this may be the last year. It's a lot of effort to get so many bands together in one spot for one night and this is something like their 21st year doing the tour.

I must admit, the venue was maybe half full. They do recycle a lot of the same acts. Wang Chung are always good though, but you can only see Naked Eyes so many times really.

Even for 4th row seats, it wasn't bad. You could get seats further back for $20-30 if I remember.

Even here in Dallas, a lot of major acts pass us by. Genesis, for example, didn't touch Texas on their last tour, where as in the 80's and 90's, it was one of the first stops.

There was a remake with Jason Statham that was quite watchable.
