You ever think of doing HVAC or something, its easy work and the
Damn good money too from what I've heard.

If you like working holidays and emergency calls you can make an
    absolute killing doing it.

But - don't do it where I live, May to Oct it's over 100 pretty much
everyday. Hanging out in a hot attic would be no fun.

The direct tv guy cut the ducting for the AC in the attic and took it over where he was working then did a horrible job taping it back up.
Not gonna lie I wasn't even mad. I was just up there looking at his work on a similar afternoon in Las Vegas and seen that and was like, mmm ok.

did he cut it or just disconnect it so it would cool him while he was working in the super hot attic?

Was good enough for the short lease time I had. It would have failed in the long term. That heat will destroy duct tape in a matter of years. But in Vegas it wouldn't be long before you noticed your AC to a room just stopped working. Im sure its long since came off and was fixed rather quicky.

It looked like he knifed it and then dragged it over to the corner he was working in then dragged it back and taped it back up.

This house is done in sheet metal however the Vegas house is done in that flex hose crap. The house itself is made of Ikea wood framing and shot with stucko overspray ( you can literally put your pinky finger through it with any amount of force ) they forgot flashings when they built them and even the plumbing is plastic and laid into the concrete slab foundation.

Oh its worse, thats just what I can define in one breath.

I don't know, all and all there are worse houses I guess. Most of them are insulated pretty well. Its just the undersized ac units crappy plastic tub surrounds price phister fixtures and those stupid spanish tile roofs.

To me it seems like most of them are built at the lowest bid.
There are nice areas that get a bit more build quality but one thing that never changes is the concrete pad. Never once seen a Vegas house with a crawlspace.
