Just fprot as a virus scanner. I manually handle all uploads past that and
my uploads area isn't downloadable from.

If I was to run a virus scanner, I'd use ClamAV as MBSE is designed to
use that. All other utils are internal to MBSE.

When I used to run Maximus/2, I used a custom-written FILES.BBS creation program for FILES.BBS stuff. I used NEF for .TIC handling, file
hatching, and filefix. I didn't use a virus scanner (hard to find an
    uopdated one for OS/2).

    "No, F-Prot Antivirus is not actively being updated as a standalone product;
it was essentially discontinued, with its development winding down and its parent company, FRISK Software, acquired, meaning it's now obsolete and no longer provides modern protection against new threats. While it was once
part of Cyren and still around in some form as of 2023, the product reached
its 'end of life' and is no longer maintained as a current antivirus

Those are all RTE200 (divide by zero) patches. The program will usually
spit out a RTE of "divide by zero", even on a fast computer. Those patches
are most likely notthe issue. He needs to try Mo'Slo or Tame (which is
still registerable) to slow down the DOS session.

Or Skullcheck does not run on NTVDM for other reasons. who knows.

NTVDM is lousy for running DOS programs reliably after Windows 7.

That's why I ran OS/2 for so many years: it does DOS better than DOS does
DOS. These days, DOSemu under Slackware Linux runs my DOS doors
reliably...as long as the door was written well.

I <think> it's an rte200, but because the setup program has "setup" in the title, it automatically goes to open a new window and start the UAC. It crashes before I get to see an error as the window closes promptly. The non-setup program gives an rte 200, but none of the methods I usually use

It may be a RTE200 but you'll still have to slow it down to see that.

    Hello Shurato,

23 Dec 25 22:11, you wrote to digimaus:

I <think> it's an rte200, but because the setup program has "setup"
    in
the title, it automatically goes to open a new window and start the UAC. It crashes before I get to see an error as the window closes promptly. The non-setup program gives an rte 200, but none of the methods I usually use work, not even tp7p5fix.com, which almost
    always
works, though I'd rather patch out-right than run a tsr.

I just think the program is poorly written and can't be run on a modern computer without it being slowed down considerably.

It may be a RTE200 but you'll still have to slow it down to see that.

I renamed it skcsetp.exe from skcsetup.exe and was able to see the error.
