The severe weather threat for Severe Thunderstorm Watch 595
continues.

SUMMARY...The severe threat (for mainly damaging winds) continues
across Severe Thunderstorm Watch 595.

DISCUSSION...An organized MCS, preceded by pulse cellular storms,
continues to thrive across northern AL in association with a moist,
well heated boundary layer. This MCS has a history of producing
damaging gusts and is expected to continue eastward across the
remainder of AL for the next few hours. Behind the MCS, temperatures
have cooled from the lower 90s to low 80s/upper 70s F, indicative of
a cold pool with a temperature perturbation of -10 to -15F. As such,
the severe threat should lessen behind the MCS leading line.
