The severe weather threat for Severe Thunderstorm Watch 421
continues.

SUMMARY...A severe wind threat persists across Severe Thunderstorm
Watch 421. The threat may progress east of the watch bounds, and a
local eastward extension of the watch may be needed.

DISCUSSION...An MCS continues to progress eastward across
north-central NE, with a small bow echo embedded in the MCS leading
edge supporting a strong to potentially severe wind threat. MLCINH
continues to strengthen ahead of the MCS per 04Z mesoanalysis/03Z
RAP forecast soundings. When also considering the weaker low-level
shear, questions remain regarding how long the bow echo/severe wind
threat will persist. Nonetheless, the bow echo remains organized and
is approaching the easternmost bounds of Severe Thunderstorm Watch
421.
