    Concerning...Severe Thunderstorm Watch 372...

    The severe weather threat for Severe Thunderstorm Watch 372
    continues.

    SUMMARY...Strong to severe storms should continue this evening with
    a risk for damaging winds and hail.

    DISCUSSION...As of 0150 UTC, several clusters of strong to severe
    storms were ongoing across WW372. A linear cluster across southern
    WI and eastern IA has shown an increase in low-level velocities over
    the past hour. Though buoyancy is weaker with eastward extent,
    sufficient mucape ~1000 J/kg should remain supportive of strong
    updrafts. These storms should continue to pose a risk for damaging
    wind gusts this evening as they track southeastward across far
    southern WI and eastern IA, into northwestern IL.

    Farther south, several supercells have produced reports of severe
    hail across portions of northeastern MO and western IL. Moderate
    buoyancy and vertical shear will continue to support strong updrafts
    capable of large hail this evening. Recent HRRR runs also suggest
    some additional storm development into a cluster is possible with
    time as the low-level jet intensifies. The risk for damaging gusts
    may increase tonight if storms are able to grow upscale into an
    organized cluster.
