Title: Braised Bear Steaks

4 (12 oz ea) Black bear steaks
4 lg Onions; sliced
21 1/2 oz (2 cans) condensed tomato
- soup
1/2 ts Garlic granules
1/2 ts Onion Granules
Salt & pepper
1/2 tb Chilli spice mix
MMMMM--------------------------MARINADE-------------------------------
4 c Chablis wine
1 c Green creme de menthe
1 tb Onion powder
1 ts Dried mint; crushed
2 tb Louisiana hot sauce
1 c Soy sauce
1 c Water
2 tb Olive oil
Marinate bear steaks overnight in a Zip-loc bag, turning
once. Remove from bag and toss marinade in the bin.
Dry and sear on both sides in hot cooking oil or bacon
grease. Add garlic & onion granules salt, pepper and
chilli spice.
Cover and simmer for 2 to 3 hours, until tender. Add
onions and tomato soup.
Simmer 15 to 20 minutes more. If you wish to thicken
juice for gravy, add flour.
