The title already implies that this war has entered a new phase. It is no longer the war in Ukraine.

A significant portion of Russia now knows that the war has also come to Russia.

Following the ceasefire of May 9, Ukraine faced an enormous increase in the number of drones that Russia sent to Ukrainian cities. The ceasefire was therefore nothing more than Russia holding back for a while, only to return with full force afterwards. Useless for Ukraine. Moreover, the fighting on the front continued as usual during the ceasefire of May 9. The Russians' only concern had been keeping Moscow safe during the parade.

In revenge for the betrayal and the cowardly attack on Ukrainian cities, Ukraine sent more than 1,000 drones and some missiles to Russia, and specifically to Moscow.

The air defenses there were overwhelmed very quickly. Ukraine subsequently hit very important targets and also ensured that the citizens of Moscow suddenly felt firsthand that it was war. Explosions all around them, and huge plumes of smoke in Moscow on all sides from targets hit by Ukraine.

The shock for the Muscovites was enormous. They hadn't heard much about the war yet. Suddenly, they were right in the middle of it, and that was a shock!

Total disbelief, because wasn't the war going as expected? Putin has never said anything other than that it was running smoothly. Three days to a week, and Ukraine would belong to Russia again. So in about three days. And that for four years already.

No one in Moscow doubted it. After all, open doubt would land you in prison, so people were confident that things would work out the day after tomorrow.

That confidence is now gone.

It turns out Ukraine can hit anything, even right in the middle of Moscow.

Who could have imagined that?

Even in the Duma, one politician has already dared to say that Russia can no longer afford this war (for much longer).

Is this the beginning of the end for Russia?
