    I thought NY had a bad Democrat problem, but maybe Washington is even worse.

    The new mayor of Seatle (Katie Wilson) ran against another Democrat in her mayoral race. There was no Republican challenger. Apparently that's common in Seattle.

    It seems ridiculous. We have enough well-spoken Republicans who should be challenging Democrats. Why don't they do it?

    I get it that "businesses are leaving Seattle" and I also get why the new mayor just says "C-ya." This is what the people who live there asked for, I guess.

    Because it's not worth it. Running a campaign is expensive. Why pay the money knowing that you can't win?

    Yup. Seattle has fallen. There's no recovery. There's just the Gary, Indiana, stage and maybe something after that.
