What Stinky Don and all his sycophants obviously don't understand is that the VP is not a symbolic Mini-Me for the POTUS; it's his backup, which will support him in his future decision-making.

That's one of the reasons that Obama became one of the greatest presidents in US history. He had Biden, who had 36 years of experience navigating a hostile House or Senate.

I think that the best running mate Kamala can pick is Pete Buttigieg. He is even younger and more energetic than Kamala, and he's proved himself as Secretary of Transportation and his Infrastructure Bill.

Of course, there is also a long list of previous accomplishments. Just read the summary on Wikipedia and then say that Vance can have anything to put up against that.

    Hello Björn,

Let's just leave them with the sexist and racist cards for now.

    Women know what they want.

What Stinky Don and all his sycophants obviously don't understand is that the VP is not a symbolic Mini-Me for the POTUS; it's his backup, which will
support him in his future decision-making.

Mike Pence did his sworn duty on January 6. J.D. Vance stated
during his speech at the RNC that he would never do such a dastardly
thing. Imagine that. The oath of office does not mean a thing. Just
do what the convicted felon tells you to do, without question, and
    you'll be fine.

That's one of the reasons that Obama became one of the greatest presidents in US history. He had Biden, who had 36 years of experience navigating a hostile House or Senate.

52 years of public service. That is how long it will be when Biden
leaves office. A lifetime of service to this country and its people.

I think that the best running mate Kamala can pick is Pete Buttigieg. He is
even younger and more energetic than Kamala, and he's proved himself as Secretary of Transportation and his Infrastructure Bill.

There are also many others who are vrty capable, regardless of sex,
race, or gender. That should not be an issue, or even a question.

However, what is happening today is one side is using hatred as a
fuel to divide this country. And there will come a time, in the
near future, when that hostility will reach a boiling point. And
you know as well as I do what happens when the pot boils over ...

Of course, there is also a long list of previous accomplishments. Just read
the summary on Wikipedia and then say that Vance can have anything to put up against that.

Depends on which version, as noted by Wikipedia. He is currently
on his third legal name. Not a good sign, given the latest numbers.

Polls are showing him at net negative six. That is below zero.
The lowest in history. Even Tom Eagleton (George McGovern's choice)
    fared better.

I'm going by what your cousins (the media) are telling me. There's been a noticeable increase in reported transportation disasters since Buttigieg became Secretary of Transportation.

Prior to the Biden regime usurping the throne, we didn't have daily reports of these things. They were more sporadic. Now I'm too scared to get on a plane and I ain't going anywhere near train tracks either. Not until a warm blooded human assumes Pete's position and things get back to normal.

These are all transportation related issues that occurred under Pete's watch. What has he done about any of it? Well, I think he put on a hard-hat one day and walked around. That took some effort, right? Hard-hats are very uncomfortable to wear, so we should give him credit for that.

Also, can you explain what laws Pete has enacted that are causing the alleged increase in "wrecks?"

Pete's not a lawmaker. He's responsible for transportation safety. He can make a suggestion to congress or to the president to make a law to help with safety, but he's too busy doing the hard-hat thing.

But now that you've mentioned it, there has also been an unprecedented number of EVs catching fire during Pete's reign as Transportation Secretary. Good point.

As ususal, why am I not surprised to see that you immediately jumped on another narrative by your corporate media.

Data from the National Transportation Safety Board showed that EVs were involved in approximately 25 fires for every 100,000 sold.

Comparatively, approximately 1,530 gasoline-powered vehicles and 3,475 hybrid vehicles were involved in fires for every 100,000 sold.

If you don't understand why an ICE, Internal Combustion Engine, car -- keyword being "Combustion" -- is more explosive than an EV car, that
only shows, that you are incapable of making *informed* decisions.

Yea, he needs to do something about that. He can't make laws, but he can enforce them. But he's too busy hanging around with Steven Colbert.

And you get this information from where? Fox News? Truth Social?

What have you achieved during the last four years? Busy hanging around you MAGA cult friends?

    Fact checking:

In his first year at the Department, he prioritized supporting the development and passage of President Biden's signature Bipartisan Infrastructure Law. Since the law's passage, Secretary Buttigieg and his team have focused on effectively delivering the investments provided by this legislation, enabling the most significant improvements in U.S. transportation infrastructure in over half a century.

The Secretary has also focused on intervening to support American supply chains dealing with shockwaves from the pandemic, including measures to help cut in half the long-dwelling container congestion at America's largest ports.

    Other major initiatives in his early tenure have included a comprehensive national roadway safety strategy to reduce deaths and serious injuries;

    delivery of emergency COVID-19 relief funds to transit agencies across America;

and awards of over $9.5 billion in discretionary funding to enhance transportation through over 800 projects in communities across America.

Look at yourself; you're unable to prove my claim false.

Data from the National Transportation Safety Board showed that EVs
were involved in approximately 25 fires for every 100,000 sold.

Right. My claim about EVs was that "There's been an unprecedented number of EVs catching fire during Pete's administration." You're simply using the Chewbacca defense to prove a related, but totally differnt point.

Comparatively, approximately 1,530 gasoline-powered vehicles and 3,475 hybrid vehicles were involved in fires for every 100,000 sold.

If you don't understand why an ICE, Internal Combustion Engine, car --

There's nothing for me to understand because this is a conversation about EVs catching fire at an unprecedented rate since Pete began his DEI gig.

Yea, he needs to do something about that. He can't make laws, but he enforce them. But he's too busy hanging around with Steven Colbert.

And you get this information from where? Fox News? Truth Social?

No. I got it from watching the Stephen Colbert Show, where Pete sat down on the couch for some laughs while other Americans were being burnt to death in EVs.

Infrastructure Law. Since the law's passage, Secretary Buttigieg and his team have focused on effectively delivering the investments provided by this legislation, enabling the most significant improvements in U.S. transportation infrastructure in over half a century.

    What improvements?

The Secretary has also focused on intervening to support American supply chains dealing with shockwaves from the pandemic, including measures to help cut in half the long-dwelling container congestion at America's largest ports.

"In 2022, eight of the 10 largest US ports experienced an average of seven days of congestion, meaning ships had to wait almost a week outside the ports to unload their cargo. In 2023, some say that West and East Coast ports experienced the worst congestion since the beginning of containerization. As of December 2023, the Ports of LA and Long Beach were expected to be busy and may see an early peak season."

    Other major initiatives in his early tenure have included a comprehensive national roadway safety strategy to reduce deaths and serious injuries;

How? What's the strategy? Getting idiots to parrot the words "there's a strategy?"

    delivery of emergency COVID-19 relief funds to transit agencies across America;

Why do transit agencies need COVID-19 relief funds?

and awards of over $9.5 billion in discretionary funding to enhance transportation through over 800 projects in communities across America.

We must appreciate the word "discretionary" because I've been all over the east coast this summer and I didn't run into any construction projects.

I'm just adding one cloaim to the other false ones you made.

Look at yourself; you're unable to prove my claim false.

Data from the National Transportation Safety Board showed that
EVs were involved in approximately 25 fires for every 100,000
    sold.

Right. My claim about EVs was that "There's been an unprecedented
number of EVs catching fire during Pete's administration." You're
simply using the Chewbacca defense to prove a related, but totally differnt point.

You are trying to bend a statistic or fact to fit your narrative rather than adjust your narrative to fit the full slate of available data.

    That's LITERALLY the Chewbacca defense.

    Comparatively, approximately 1,530 gasoline-powered vehicles
and 3,475 hybrid vehicles were involved in fires for every
    100,000 sold.

If you don't understand why an ICE, Internal Combustion
    Engine, car --

There's nothing for me to understand because this is a conversation
about EVs catching fire at an unprecedented rate since Pete began his
    DEI gig.

Yep, And there are also an unprecedented number of EVs on the road.

Yea, he needs to do something about that. He can't make
    laws, but he
enforce them. But he's too busy hanging around with Steven
    Colbert.

And you get this information from where? Fox News? Truth
    Social?

No. I got it from watching the Stephen Colbert Show, where Pete sat
down on the couch for some laughs while other Americans were being
    burnt to death in EVs.

Statistically speaking, 0 people died as a result of an electric automobile catching fire during a 15 minute interview. The interview could have gone on for a week or more straight and it's still quite likely 0 people whould have died from an EV fire.

according to data from the NTSB, electric vechiles are the least likely to catch fire. Hybrid vehicles, however, are the most likely.

That's simply not true. Highway fatalities have been slightly higher since covid ended and people started traveling again, but it's nowhere near the raw numbers from the 70s and 80s, and WAY less in the per capita and per billion miles traveled figures.

Are you picking out other numbers? Passenger train deaths are up a bit, but accidents are down overall.

2023 had no fatal accidents in commercial airlines out of 32 million flights.

So I'm not sure where you are picking your numbers from. It sounds to me like you're just making stuff up and hoping the rest of your cult buddies believe you.

I think Stephen Colbert coined the word "Truthiness" back around 2005.

Webster's dictionary now defines it as:

    truth * i * ness
: a truthful or seemingly truthful quality that is claimed for something not because of supporting facts or evidence but because of a feeling that it is true or a desire for it to be true
