    Since you asked so nicely, NOTABUG WONTFIX.

    It is not a bug it is a configuration error. Most FIDO echos are real names only. If you are the sysop, change your configuration for this area.
    If you are not the sysop, sign your messages like Joe does. It is not difficult.

    Fidonet does not have a real name policy.

    As a participant in this echo, you are free to whine about
    whatever floats your boat. But you are not, and never will be,
    lord and master of this echo or any other echo.

    Participants own the echo. That is the only "rule" you need
    to know. Even if you fail to understand that very basic "rule"
    it still applies.
