From Lee Lofaso@2:203/2 to ALL on Sat Mar 9 16:36:31 2024
    Hello Everybody,

    What a great speech!
    The fire was there!
On target, and to the point!

    Calling out those who prefer
    to support a Russian dictator
    who invades other countries
    for fun. Calling out those
    who continue to turn their
backs on our friends who are
    fighting for their lives in
    defense of their country.
    Pointing his finger directly
    at his predecessor, quoting
    him directly, not pulling any
    punches.

    His speech started out with
foreign policy, but he went on
    to other things, all important
stuff to remember and keep in
    mind.

    After his speech, which was
every bit as good, if not better,
than FDR or any other president,
we will all be begging him for
more - which we will get when
    he wins re-election.

    What followed after his speech
was something else. Kind of like
    watching someone on Sesame Street.
Her colleague in the Senate called
her a "housewife" - too young to
even realize that voters are not
    children.

    For Life,
    Lee

Joe, I think there's a problem with your Usenet feed.

It looks like it accidently cross posted something from ALT.STUPID.

Yeah, that was funny to watch. Did you se her teeth when she was not smiling? A true beaver shot.

And the faucet over her right shoulder? Two taps, one for cold and one for hot water? Haven't seen any of those in Sweden for half a century. She really should try to get some of those Infrastructure Bill money that she voted against.

Maybe its just me, but I turned on the SOTU speech for a bit. Tuned it out after a few minutes, but while I was watching all I could see is that banjo kid from Deliverance talking!

... I'd love to help you out. Which way did you come in?

I think they are related... Banjo kid is smarter though.

I forced myself to listen to the whole thing... It was sick... The Democratic party has lost its way.

Laura Ingrham did a contrast between Joe and The Donald. She played about a minute or so of Joe's divisiveness... and then Showed Trump... Recall during one of Trump's SoTU speeches where he was thanking a soldier's family... Thanking the3 young woman and her children for the sacrifices they make while her husband is deployed... and then moments later brought the deployed soldier into the room while everyone gave a standing ovation as they reunited after he was gone for months...

    Heart warming moment...

Good we can still equate one's physical appearance to how smart or dumb they are.

And the faucet over her right shoulder? Two taps, one for cold and one for hot water? Haven't seen any of those in Sweden for half a century. She really should try to get some of those Infrastructure Bill money that she voted against.

The "unitap" faucets used to be the rage here, and you still see them in plenty of kitchens. However, the double tap has come back. If you've every had to work on faucets, you would realize why people would prefer them.

    children.

Yeah, that was funny to watch. Did you se her teeth when she was not smiling? A true beaver shot.

Her opening statement was not bad. Despite her teeth. It was the
rest of her speech that sucked.

And the faucet over her right shoulder? Two taps, one for cold and one for hot water?

Yep. Very common in her state of Alabama.

Haven't seen any of those in Sweden for half a century.

You wouldn't understand. It's a Southern thing. Remember, one faucet
is used for making iced tea. The other faucet for everything else.

She really should try to get some of those Infrastructure Bill money that she voted against.

Her colleague from Alabama went up against the Bear and the Tide
always rolled right over him. Which is why he retired from football
    for a life in politics.

Tuberville would have been playing at Southern State College (now known as Southern Arkansas), and was then a high school coach during the mid/late 1970's. He did not ever coach as a head coach against Bryant, although Tuberville was an assistant at Arkansas State in 1982 when the Tide played (and beat) them during Bryant's final season.

Tuberville did coach against "Little Bear" some. He was an assistant at Miami U in 1992, the year that Alabama rolled them for the championship. A few years later, his tenure as Ole Miss HC would have overlapped Stallings at Alabama for two years -- two years that the Tide blew out the Rebels. He was 0-4 overall against Alabama at Ole Miss.

So far the Tide always rolling over him is correct.

He was still coaching at Auburn when the alleged GOAT took over at Alabama. He went 1-1 against Saban. He finished at Auburn with a winning record against the Tide, during a spell when the Tide has some pretty mediocre to downright sorry coaching.

He left coaching with a 7-7 total record as a head coach against Alabama, so they did not roll him as often as they should have.
