The congressional districts in New York State were updated about 2 years ago, with the reason given being "census data."
Now, there hasn't been any updates to census data, but the state is
going to be redistricted once again. The reason given by the local media is: "to give Democrats a boost."
As usual, I'm probably missing other details, but so far, that's all I
can figure out; they're doing it because Democrats need help retaking
the house in 2024.
Democrats must be in a panic... They are even worried about the election in a Blue state like New York. As the election draws near be prepared
for the race wars and an other Sumer of Love like there was in 2020.
With the Firey but mostly peaceful protests that caused Billions in property damage and deaths...
I think you're right. But I don't think that redistricting is going to solve their problems. It's going to be interesting to see what impact Joe's immigrant collecting project has on 2024.
Do you often meet people from NY who have moved to Florida? There must be thousands of them there by now.
Yes... There is a small community in Citrus County Called Beverly
Hills. It is a community that has 80-90% 1 & 2 bedroom home... They had model homes up north, Long Island was one place, you'd go pick your
model retirement home and they would build it... So... when I first
moved into the area all I could hear was Long Island accents... That was some time ago... those people have since passed and I have lost my ear
to pickup on regional accents... My wife's Dominican accent sounds
normal to me!!!!
Long Island accents are annoying, but there are a lot of cool people from there. I'm from a small city called Binghamton and here we talk more
like the people from Buffalo NY (like Canadians from southern Ontario.)
The rumor is that NYers migrate to Florida "to escape high taxes" but there's obviously a lot more reasons now, with this despicable governor we've got who is catering to criminals and with all the fake refugees pouring into NYC.

Ya, something doesn't sound right here.
They can't be redistricting for the census since that's already occured.
Only the most ignorant of the Elitists will vote for a Democrat, even in
a blue state like New York. It's going to be hard to redistrict around that.

Kathy Hochul has balls.
I tried living in New Mexico for almost a decade, and there's a bunch of NYers there too, and it's so obvious that they don't belong there.
They often get accused of being in the witness protection program. ;)
And if they have the horrible Long Island accent then they get called "NYPD." ;)

There is a Canadian adult cartoon, not porn just adult humor, Called "Forget About it". Mobsters from NY are relocated in Saskatchewan Canada... They have episodes on YouTube if you care to re-experience
your New Mexico experience.

Don't bet on it.
Here in Michigan, our Tyrant...er.. Governor and her harpies...er... Secretary of State and AG, violated the Constitution and reworked the voting laws. According to the Constutition (both state and federal)
only the Legislature can set those rules.

The legislature here is on the same drugs as the lizard-woman. The
state Republicans are fake conservatives. There's video footage
floating around somewhere of Lee Zeldin (former GOP state senator)
telling Andrew Cuomo "The world would be a better place if you were president." They're all on the same page.

Ha! Don't think of me, think of you're favorite Democrat! ;)

The standard Elitist thinking: "If only *I* was in charge, I'd fix everything." They ignore the fact that every single time that has happened, it ended very badly - especially for the non-Elitists.
Side-story: I recently found out that Zeldin voted against NY's marriage equali
y act while he was a state senator. That makes Zeldin a non-starter; who has ti
e for mistreating gays? Not me! But Zeldin sure does. Who knows how many votes >hat cost us in his gubernatorial election? I hate the NY GOP!

Maybe if we find a way to cut off their supply of Mountain Dew it will weaken them. :D

If that bothers you I would suggest not digging into the voting records
of most GOP candidates, especially if they self-identify as "MAGA"
because you are very likely to find that they stand against such things.
It dissapoints me also. Seems like a lot of the "MAGA" candidates actually stand pretty far right on many topics than Trump says and does.
election? I hate the NY GOP!
Too many in the Republican Party are "controlled opposition" or just patsies set up to make fools of themselves to embarass the Republican Party.

Rob Astorino was probably the best candidate, but Lee Zeldin stole the spotlight by being a sitting GOP US Rep at the time. I'd like to think that either Astorino or Guiliani were a legit/non-RINO option, but who knows.

That's part of the problem today. Understanding what is and is not propaganda. Sometimes it's very subtle. Also, getting **all** the information, not just the parts that some people want you to know.

Yea they tricked me, I have to admit it. I hope the rest of the conservatives in my state are wise to this BS also. They might not all pick up on the "we lost all the gay votes" thing, but Zeldin's
departure from politics won't go unnoticed.
"Don't vote Democrat" is still sound advice. If I just spread that message, I can't go wrong.

It is - for now.
As I've said before, this isn't a "right vs. left", "Convervative vs. Liberal", "Socialism vs. Capitalism" type of battle. This is a "People who believe that they should rule vs. everyone else."
These people will switch groups and infiltrate whatever group is gaining power to get their way. So "good" today may be "bad" tomorrow.
The good coming out of Trump is not Trump. It's the fact that so many have woken up and are now vigilant.

But how vigilant have we become?
The 'walkers' will set a Wendys on
fire if Jimmy Kimmel presses the blue button.
When are we going to
start blowing stuff up? We need to defend this country somehow because it's getting sexually assaulted bigtime, and everyone in government is just watching like it's a porno flick.
The 'walkers' will set a Wendys on

There will always be a group of LARPers who do stuff like that.
If a few of the mass looters are machine gunned down as the run from the store that will put a big dent in the people who do that.
It all comes up to the next election. Colorado has fired their shot and it's not looking good. Once the Elitists have convinced enough people that they have no choice, it will be Open Season on the Elitists.
I hope we all reach that boiling point. My level of disgust is about 9.9 right now. I don't want the Democrats to quell the problems with band aids; I want them to go ahead and make things even worse so that people get fed up enough to do something about it.
If the SCOTUS rules against Trump, it will mean that they believe that there was an insurrection and that he was involved in causing it. With the current makeup of the court, I firmly believe they would need
evidence to prove that. In other words, I may not like it but if they
find against Trump, I am willing to accept their judgement.
Now, if between now and then somehow slo-mo Joe finds a way to put a
bunch of extra justices on the court, that will be a certain sign of a c-o-n-spiracy.

We seem to be quickly reaching that point.
2024 will be a bad, bad year.
