I'm testing this on you with half-witty replies.

If I got the previous reply correct - the split four lines of output from /proc/version - then your template appears to be as retro as it can get without breaking anything. I think you could easily lose most of the kludges though but I am a tad biased when it comes to those damn things.

No. I was trying to modify the two lines at the very beginning of the message. "Hello <username>," and "On <date> <timezone>, you wrote:". Those were not able to be modified as much prior to my testing - while Rob was adding some features to Synchronet for me.

The four lines you quoted have absolutely nothing wrong with them. ;)

The template used to be completely different. I was trying to adjust for my liking, and it wasn't letting me (note the one message with the @-codes that I messed up, because I didn't include a closing @ after the text). Then the next message where those codes were, ended up blank. I needed some tweakery to the Synchronet code for it to work, and Rob helped out with that.

Should be back in action now. As for the rest of the kludges, that's for others to decide. I don't see them unless I want or need to. ;)

If you say so. To be honest, your nanao fix was vastly more impressive than anything I've seen from Synchonet. I don't see anything of value in Synchonet.

Eh, to each their own. I enjoy it. IMO, it's definitely better than watching things compile for hours on end (for some reason, glibc comes to mind. Is that the one that takes anywhere from 2 to 10 hours to compile depending on hardware?) :)

Not since raspi have I witnessed anything that slow. The kernel source takes longer.

As far as this machine goes - AMD Ryzen 7 5800U with Radeon Graphics - not that big of a wait. Firefox only takes about 25 minutes. Offhand I believe llvm might take the longest.
