    Hello, All!

Do you know of any gate used to to send private emails to fidonet adresses?

Most Fido-connected Synchronet systems support SMTP->FTN gating: <name>@f<node>.n<net>.z<zone>.fidonet

Firstly, you'd have to connect to a Synchronet SMTP server (e.g. mail.synchro.net) when sending the mail message. Secondly, it's ".fidonet" not ".fidonet.org".

No, I don't know of a generic gateway like fidonet.org used to provide being available today.

I just tried it with gmail to my point address too. I thought
that I set it plain-text the edit window, but the message came
back with the same "Failed.." message. On my next test, I made
sure I could see the checkmark next to "plain-text" in the
editing panel. I sent that out, no "Failed.." message, but I
    haven't seen the result yet.

Just tested one from Outlook. We'll see.

Is my gmail account and also my email client somehow
converting my simple text message with Subject "test" and
    body "test" into html format?

Gmail might be adding something! Let's give the process at
least a good 30 minutes to work.

Right.. I should have mentioned that plain-text was a

Not accepting html shit is also a damn good way to reject spam. :)

Replying to email from fidonet netmail is also tricky if your netmail client (bbs) does not support REPLYTO/REPLYADDR kludges. In that case user must manually take care that the "to:" field contains the email address.
