• Easter Lillies

From Mike Powell@1:2320/105 to ALL on Tue Apr 26 16:25:00 2022
I was out on a walk earlier today and noticed that one of my neighbors had
put a florist pot of some very healthy looking "Easter" lillies on the curb
    as garbage.

I think many people don't realize that they can replant these and they
should come back next year. Granted, they were likely forced to bloom
early for Easter in a controlled setting, but they are just like most other bulb flowers and should come back, albeit later than Easter, for years to
    come.

We have a threat of frost tonight, after temperatures near 90F just 3 days
ago, so I will wait a few days before planting them myself.

    Mike

Your are the Easter lillie rescue. That plant is sure to
appreciate it. :D ..and hopefully reward you with plenty of
    blooms.

I had a similar experience with a potted poinsietta that I had
found curbside. Nothing wrong with it. Infact, it looked
surprisingly healthy. Turns out it was a fake one! :D
