Title: Bean & Beef Slow-Cooked Chilli

Yield: 6 servings
1 lb 90% lean ground beef
1 lg Sweet onion; chopped
3 cl Garlic; minced
29 oz (2 cans) diced tomatoes
- w/green chilies
30 oz (2 cans) pinto beans; rinsed
- drained
30 oz (2 cans) black beans; rinsed
- drained
3 tb Chilli spice mix
2 ts Ground cumin
1/2 ts Salt

Sour cream
Chopped red onion
Minced fresh cilantro
In a large skillet, cook beef, onion and garlic over
medium heat 6-8 minutes or until beef is no longer pink,
breaking beef into crumbles; drain.
Transfer beef mixture to a 5-qt. slow cooker. Drain 1
can of tomatoes, discarding liquid; add to slow cooker.
Stir in beans, chilli spice, cumin, salt and remaining
tomatoes. Cook, covered, on low 6-8 hours to allow
flavors to blend.
Mash beans to desired consistency. Serve with toppings
as desired.
