Title: Korean Short Ribs

Yield: 6 servings
1/2 c Soy sauce
1/3 c (packed) brown sugar
1/4 c Mirin
2 ts Sesame oil
1/2 ts Pepper
1 Asian pear; peeled, cored,
- quartered
1 md Onion; quartered
8 cl Garlic
1 Piece (1") fresh gingerroot
3 lb Bone-in beef short ribs; cut
- flanken-style
Sesame seeds & sliced green
- onions
In a 13" X 9" dish, combine the first 5 ingredients.
Place pear, onion, garlic and ginger in a blender;
process until smooth. Whisk into soy sauce mixture. Add
ribs; turn to coat. Cover and refrigerate 4 hours.
Drain and discard marinade. Grill ribs, covered, over
medium heat 4-5 minutes on each side or until meat
reaches desired doneness.
Garnish with sesame seeds and green onions.
