      Title: Slow-Cooker Pepper Steak

      Yield: 6 servings
 
  1 1/2 lb Beef top round steak
      2 tb Canola oil
      1 c  Chopped onion
    1/4 c  Soy sauce
      1 cl Garlic; minced
      1 ts Sugar
    1/2 ts Salt
    1/4 ts Ground ginger
    1/4 ts Pepper
      4 md Tomatoes; in wedges

 14 1/2 oz Candiced tomatoes;
           - undrained
      1 lg Bell pepper; cored, cut in
           - strips
      1 tb Cornstarch
    1/2 c  Cold water
           Hot cooked noodles or rice
 
  Cut beef into 3" X 1" strips. In a large skillet, brown
  beef in oil. Transfer to a 3-qt. slow cooker. Combine
  the onion, soy sauce, garlic, sugar, salt, ginger and
  pepper; pour over beef. Cover and cook on low until meat
  is tender, for 5-6 hours. Add tomatoes and green pepper;
  cook on low until vegetables are tender, about 1 hour
  longer.
  
  Combine cornstarch and cold water until smooth;
  gradually stir into slow cooker. Cover and cook on high
  until thickened, 20-30 minutes. Serve with noodles or
