Considering the amount of other heat, i'd go with the spice mix.

Or try the recipe multiple times to find which variant puts the wind up
your knickers.

We can trade trashy recipes for a looooooong time. Some are actually edible - not to mention enjoyable.

2 lg (14") tortilla flats
2 lb Cooked pork;

Mild or hot chilies
Home made refried pinto
- beans; (no canned beans.)
Cooked Spanish rice
Lettuce/tomato diced/onion
Sour cream & avocado
Rosita Rita's hot sauce

Warm 2 large tortilla shells until they get soft & hot.

Place one on top of the other.

Add 2 tablespoons of cooked tender pork or cooked spicy
pork (chile verde) on it.

Add refried beans and rice.

Add veggies, sour cream and avocado.

Fold both ends in and roll up.

Serve with Rosita Rita's hot sauce as an dip.

You have a 1 1/2 pound burrito and you will be stuffed
but you will make it again.

This is a mess to eat if you don't fold it right.
But, you have just made a delicious burrito!!!!.

Don't give up on folding practice.

1 c Butter
1 c Sugar
1/2 c Brown sugar
2 Eggs
2 c Flour
1 ts Baking soda
1/2 ts Baking powder
2 c Oatmeal
2 c Rice Crispies
2 c Nuts; chopped
12 oz Chocolate chips

Cream butter and sugar. Add eggs, then dry ingredients. Stir in oats,
Rice Crispies, nuts, and chips. Form into balls and press lightly
onto ungreased cookie sheet. Bake at 350?F for about 12 to 15
minutes or until done.

Whilst I do sometime make a meal of a nice tossed salad ... or steamed
veggies I can in no way be considered a vagatarian. I like my meat too
much. I suppose I'm like the dogs we're pooch-sitting. An omnivore.
They all eat (most) meat but will/do gobble down vegetables. I let
them pre-wash the dinner dishes. Except if I've had General Tso's
Chicken.

One sniff and they're off to the races. And I dunno what's putting them
off of it. They all pay little attention to chilies in other dishesw. I
think it may be the flavour forward ginger - but haven't tested that
theory - yet.

Title: General Tso's Chicken
Categories: Oriental, Poultry, Wine, Chilies
Yield: 4 Servings

12 Chicken thighs; boned,
- skinned, in 1" pcs
2/3 c Cornstarch
2 c Chicken broth
2 ts Garlic; minced fine
2 ts Fresh ginger; grated
1/2 c Chinese Dark soy sauce
1/3 c Cider vinegar
1/4 c Very dry Fino sherry
1 tb Salt
1/2 c Sugar

MMMMM--------------------------COATING-------------------------------
1/2 c Dark soy sauce
1 ts Fresh ground black pepper
1 ts White pepper
2 Egg whites
1 c Cornstarch
1/2 c Peanut oil plus oil for deep
- frying
2 bn Scallions; 1/2" pcs
8 Dried, thin, red peppers

Mix all the ingredients (except the chicken) together
until well blended and sugar is dissolved. Set aside
until chicken is cooked.

CHICKEN COATING: Wash and thoroughly dry the chicken
chunks. Mix all the coating ingredients together and
add the chicken, stirring to completely and evenly coat
the pieces.

Heat a wok with 3 cups of peanut oil (if your wok is
bigger, add more oil). When oil is hot -- about 375┬║F/
190┬║C add the chicken chunks, stirring with a chopstick
or a knife (the thin instrument will enable you to keep
the pieces separated) Turn the pieces constantly in the
oil to ensure even cooking and browning. When cooked
through (not overcooked) remove crisp/brown pieces and
drain well on paper toweling.

Continue frying the chicken until all pieces are done.

Reserve 2 tb of oil from the frying chicken in the wok
and toss in the chilies, stirring until they begin to
turn black. If you like it hotter, crush the chilies
until the seeds come out of the pod-this is where the
heat is.

If you like it milder, remove the chilies. Add the
scallions and toss for a few seconds then add the
sauce ingredients, stirring very well and cooking
just to the boil. The sauce will thicken at the
boil and longer cooking will break down the
cornstarch and cause the sauce to thin in a very
short time. Add the chicken pieces to the sauce
and stir.

Taste for seasoning, adjust with salt and pepper to
taste. This recipe, which I have since modified, was
posted 4 or 5 years ago but regretfully, I don't
have the name of the original poster.

Yield: 2 dozen

2 c A-P Flour
1 ts Baking soda
1/2 c Unsalted butter; softened
1/2 c White sugar
1/2 c Light brown sugar
1 lg Egg
2 ts Vanilla extract
1/4 c Semi-sweet chocolate chips
2 tb White chocolate chips
2 tb Peanut butter chips
1/4 c Broken pretzels
1/4 c Crushed potato chips
2 tb Christmas sprinkles

Baking Sheet
Stand Mixer
Bowl(s)
Measuring Cup
Wire Rack

Set the oven @ 350ºF/175ºC and line two large cookie
sheets with parchment paper.

Mix together two cups of A-P flour and one teaspoon of
baking soda; set aside.

Using a stand mixer, in a large bowl, cream together 1/2
cup softened butter, 1/2 cup white sugar, and 1/2 cup of
brown sugar until light and fluffy.

Add one large egg and two teaspoons of vanilla extract
to the sugar mixture and beat for several minutes.

Slowly add the flour mixture and mix it in until just
incorporated.

By hand, add 1/4 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips, two
tablespoons of white chocolate chips, two tablespoons of
peanut butter chips, 1/4 cup of crushed potato chips,
1/4 cup of pretzels pieces, and two tablespoons of
Christmas sprinkles. Fold in until well combined.

Using a cookie scoop, drop a scoopful of the cookie
dough onto parchment-lined cookie sheets. Flatten them
slightly and top with additional chocolate chips, potato
chips, or sprinkles.

Bake for 10 minutes.

Let them cool in the pan for 10 minutes and then remove
the Santa's trash cookies to a wire baking rack to allow
them to finish cooling.

Store the leftovers in an airtight container on the
countertop for 5 days, in the fridge for up to a month,
and in the freezer for up to 6 months.

1/3 c Black beans
2 tb Cheese
3 tb Fire roasted salsa
1 Fried egg
1/4 Avocado; sliced
Chives & cilantro;

Line oven safe bowl with Doritos, layer with black beans and cheese.
Transfer bowl to a 350?F oven to melt cheese. Remove from oven and
spoon salsa on top. Fry egg in a skillet and then place on top of
salsa, Place slices of avocado into bowl and sprinkle with chives and
cilantro.

Title: General Tso's Chicken

If you ever figure out what your dogs find repulsive in General Tso's,
i am interested in hearing what it is.

Title: Leighann's White Trash Candy
Categories: Candy
Yield: 1 Batch

3 c Cheerios
3 c Rice Chex
3 c Small bow tie pretzels
1 lg Bag M&M's
1 1/2 cn Mixed nuts
2 pk Almond bark

Mix together the first 5 ingredients in a large bowl. Melt almond
bark in microwave on 50% power. Pour over other ingredients in bowl
and mix thoroughly. Quickly pour onto waxed paper to thin, uniform
depth. Cool and then break into bite sized pieces.
