      Title: Hearty Pita Tacos
 Categories: Beef, Vegetables, Beans, Breads, Cheese
      Yield: 6 servings
 
      1 lb 90% lean ground beef
      1 sm Red bell pepper; chopped
      2    Green onions; chopped
     16 oz Can kidney beans; rinsed,
           - drained
    3/4 c  Frozen corn
    2/3 c  Taco sauce
  2 1/4 oz Can sliced ripe olives;
           - drained
    1/2 ts Garlic salt
    1/4 ts Onion powder
    1/4 ts Dried oregano
    1/4 ts Paprika
    1/4 ts Pepper
      6    Whole wheat pita pocket
           - halves
      6 tb Shredded Cheddar cheese
           Sliced avocado; opt
           Add'l taco sauce; opt
 
  In a large skillet, cook the beef, red pepper and onions
  over medium heat until meat is no longer pink; drain.
  Stir in the beans, corn, taco sauce, olives and
  seasonings; heat through.
  
  Spoon 3/4 cup beef mixture into each pita half. Sprinkle
  with cheese. Serve with avocado and additional taco
  sauce if desired.
