    Title: Walk To School Cookies
    Categories: Five, Cookies, Snacks, Nuts
    Yield: 48 Servings

    2 c Softened butter
    4 c Flour
    1 c Pecans
    1 c Sugar
    1 ts Vanilla

    Cream together butter and sugar. Add flour and vanilla and
    mix well. Pat into several long rolls and place in fridge
    to chill.

    Slice and bake on cookie sheets in 325oF/160oC oven for
    10-12 min.

    Remove from oven and sprinkle with powdered sugar if
    desired.

    Title: Chocolate-Chunk & Pecan Cookies
    Categories: Cookies, Snacks, Nuts, Chocolate
    Yield: 18 servings

    1 1/4 c Butter; softened
    3/4 c Dark brown sugar
    3/4 c Light brown sugar
    3 Eggs
    1 1/2 ts Vanilla extract
    2 1/3 c A-P flour
    1 ts Baking soda
    1/4 ts Salt
    12 oz Semisweet chocolate chunks
    2 c Chopped pecans

    Set oven @ 325ºF/165ºC.

    In a mixing bowl beat butter and both brown sugars until
    creamy. Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each
    addition. Stir in vanilla.

    Mix together the flour, baking soda and salt. Add to the
    butter mixture and stir just until combined.

    Mix in the chocolate chunks and pecans. Drop dough by
    rounded tablespoonfuls onto an ungreased cookie sheet.
    Flatten slightly with the back of the spoon.

    Bake about 15 minutes or until golden brown. Cool
    slightly on cookie sheet. Remove to a rack and cool
    completely.
