I'll honour the request even though it will be nice to have anther participant in the echo. It gets sort of quiet when Ruth and Steve are
on a road trip.
My only problem is that I can't tell from the name of the poster if the
post is from a boy or a girl. And if I'm honouring the "please ignore"

They did. I suspect, although not certain, that maybe they thought
this was a test echo. My response was a polite way to let them know it was not. <g>

I think that is a "fake name" which translates to "The Other Guy." I could be wrong, but that sysop has been working on his new system and I suspect he is trying to determine if posts from others make it around
the networks.
So I will cut him some slack. OTOH, it could be someone named Daotha
Guy so, either way, I want them to feel welcome. :D
