Interesting. There was a MajorBBS system called GT Power BBS out of Southern California back in the early to mid-90s. If I were to guess,

The two GT Power BBS's I remember out of California were Bay Window BBS in San Francisco, run by Judy Oliphant...and Crossroads BBS in San Mateo, run by Bob Wallace. I think Mike Powell is the only one running GT Power now, and he's in Kentucky. I still get some GT Power echoes via QWK Networking.

Crazy. I just remember the name of it. One of my high school friends, once he was in college, helped run their site. I believe it folded
when the feds discovered they were pirating files. :D
