Trust is a relative thing; trust what exactly?

I use both runemaster web ui as well as webv4 ui, though webv4 is the more robust of the two, especially for modding web scripts. I also use telnet/ssh/rlogin, but the question is compare rune-master/webv4.

Not sure which I should trust the most

    1: HTML/JS [5 55.56%] √
    2: Webv4 [4 44.44%] √

uhh.. The webv4 interface uses HTML and JavaScript, so I'm not sure what this question means. What are you referring to by the "HTML/JS" interface here?

    Nightfox

I figured he meant 'preference' between the stock runmaster (../web/root) vs webv4 (../webv4/root)

HTTPS with either HTML/JS or Webv4 is probably the "safest". I think, assuming you've setup/enabled the Let's Encrypt functionality, it should likewise be a trustworthy cert for NNTP as well though.

SSH is fine if you trust the initial connection and Telnet is inherently insecure.

Still wish a few clients (like SyncTERM) supported a websocket endpoint
    for RLogin.
