    DM,

On my RPi, I'm not able to touch /sbbs/ctrl/recycle.services and trigger a restart of my services. Everything else seems to be working great (in relation to semaphores). Is there something I should try to further troubleshoot this?

    Thanks,
    -WitNik

I looked at the wiki again, and I am *not* logging any 'Disabling recycle support messages'. While the BBS is configured to bind-to/listen-on tcp ports < 1024, I have not set the bbs to change the current user-id in the UNIX section of sbbs.ini and the BBS *is* leveraging Linux capabilities to access reserved ports. Perhaps it is something related to my systemd config, but I figured if that had issues it would break my semaphore recycling for other services. As it stands now, Term, FTP, Web, Mail are fine. I'll keep trying to narrow it down.

    Thanks,

Check your log output for "0000 Recycle semaphore file (xxx) detected" and then the log messages following that could be helpful.

Make sure you don't have NO_RECYCLE in your sbbs.ini Options.

Also, active services clients will prevent the services server from even checking the recycle semaphores. So if you have any connections (even the ircd) that could prevent it from recycling.

This has got to be it. I had a test session on the ircd, because I'm been getting that setup. That's why it won't recycle. I just figured that the semaphore would dump my test session.

    Cool!
