You must have one of your external events set to "Requires exclusive execution". By default the MSGMAINT event has that set.

Look in scfg -> External Programs -> Timed Events.

Don't have an exclusive timed event configured to run at midnight. <shrug>

Yup I found one that it was set to YES!

    Thanks Al, again!

And that is the correct setting. You don't want message base maintenance running while users are actively using the BBS.

I run my nightly doorgame maintenance at that time, then MSGMAINT runs
at 5am. So, I have no problem with that occurring. Never mind that I try
to be asleep at those hours...but nocturia from drinking a half gallon of flavored water a day is making that possibility more remote. :P

During my marriage, my late wife had turned me into a night-owl...and the
BBS was still on dial-up at that time. She said "As soon as maintenence is done, let me know, so I can logon". When I said "Done"...it was "CONNECT".
She was a great winner in the games (especially against me), but she sure
    was a sore loser. <G>

I lost her to a heart attack in late April, 2007, 3 weeks shy of our 4th wedding anniversary, and never remarried. I continue the BBS in her memory.
