• Harman Kardon retro loveliness

I've recently refurbished my parents old Harman Kardon 330B receiver that they bought in 1977. I swapped out a pretty decent AIWA tuner for it, and the sound difference is like night and day.

Apparently people were abuzz about the 330B, saying it had a nice warm tube-like sound, despite being all transistorized. It's true, the sound has a warmth that the AIWA lacked.

And, it's got killer green backlighting, a counterweighted tuning knob, and a killer retro look.

The A60 was pretty cool amplifier too.

I just found out recently that Harman Kardon owns JBL now. Didn't know that before. JBL made top of the line speakers tailored to the recording studio industry and were very costly as well.
