Valve released the SDK and people have made homebrew apps. The thing runs on a modified version of Gentoo. I'm wondering if there's a way you could develop an app at open a window manager or terminal so that you could start adding programs without having to recompile the OS. Apparently if the OS isn't signed by valve the thing bricks itself. Has anyone been able to circumnavigate that firmware check? I have this hardware and I would really love to put it to work running things locally.
