From kc4zvw@VERT/KK4QBN to All on Mon Jun 24 00:11:52 2024
All,
After two days of playing with Amateur radio (outdoors) :
Our small group did more talking to new hams and hopefully future new hams
then any really hardcore contesting.
Did you all go to an event and if so did your event have a GOTA station?
I didn't have any *real* problems getting a wire setup in the trees and our group had about 5 antennas total for others to try some different HF rigs.
Didn't have to use the soldering iron this summer but did re-work some
Anderson power pole wiring. Also found that some radio and support
accessories had batteries starting to leak.
At these events I get to find out what other local hams are doing and
what other modes that they are using in the hobby.
73,
David (KC4ZVW)
