Couldn't have worked anyway. People would be in different
stages of needing supplies/groceries, even scheduled surgeries/
appointments. In other words.. people would still need to
travel for one thing or another. Even the shipping/trucking
industry couldn't just "stop" without causing shortages of
    things everywhere.

Here they were cancelling surgeries and appointments unless they were of absolute necessity (i.e. life and death). There were a lot of people who
kept traveling when they really did not need to, either because they could
not stand being alone or because they didn't believe anything was wrong.

also people who were dying had to die alone because they could not see their family. Or old people in nursing homes were put in with people who were sick with covid.

so much fucking insanity. it's the hard times that really show the character of people and we have proven that people as a whole are complete garbage.

Causing people to get late treatment for things like cancer - which greatly shortened their life span. I wonder how many of these people died "from COVID" just because they couldn't get in to treat their completely unrelated condition early.

Because the only thing that was wrong was the Narrative pushed by the Elitists.

Here they claimed that the covid wards in the nursing homes were completely separate and isolated, but then there were outbreaks in the non-covid wards that convinced them to stop doing that.

In other states, like Michigan and New York, they kept doing it and kept killing people.

My father's wife had a mother who was in a home during COVID. She did not
die of COVID but did die without her family around because they were not allowed to visit. I think they were allowed to talk to her through her
outside window but it seemed to confuse her. She was well into her 90s.

    Many politicians sure are.

And remember that retirees don't produce wealth anymore. So the Elitists see them as a "drain". And if you die without any heirs, the state gets your investment accounts.

IHMO: Michigan and New York purposely made the nursing homes toxic to reduce the drain on Social Security/Medicaid and seize assets.

    Purposely made them unhealthy.

Having had to deal with parents and grandparents in nursing homes for many years, I can say that if you are in a home and no one "checks up" on you, your care will be much lower than someone who gets a visitor every week.

One of the first things that they did was not allow anyone to visit someone in the nursing home.

    Entering speculation:
And if no one is checking up on these elderly people, no one would find out that they'd been jabbed or given "different" medications, or not given the medications that they are supposed to have.

That is quite possible. Some retirees do have money, but their worth is probably measured in how much of that $$$ they donate to the proper
    political or idealogical coffers.

In the case of Michigan and New York and some other states, COVID patients
were put in nursing homes on purpose. They claimed that the COVID wards
were kept isolated but COVID very quickly ran through the general population
    as well.

They tried this here in Kentucky also. However, when COVID quickly jumped across to the general populations, and the jump got reported in the local press, they quickly abandoned the practice. Other states continued doing
    so.

My guess is that they were getting more federal $$$ for keeping COVID
patients in those homes, much like they are getting more federal $$$ now
for converting facilities from nursing and veteran's homes into places to
    house quasi-legal immigrants.

Yes. Nursing homes in New York are a travesty. The system is flawed and a money pool for corrupt politians and the people that own and run them. They are a medicaid funded money pit. If I had my way I'd close them all down and start a new system that acually works. But that's just me.
