    Hey Gary,

Did you ever have internet email working on CNet Amiga? Can it still work if it
    once worked?

If they are in the nodelist, you can email the person through the network.

C-Net has a built in SMTP server, so it should not be difficult to get it to recieve email. As it would listen to any incomming connection on port 25 (If your ISP does not block it.. Most in the US do..)..

For outgoing, you might have to get an email relay account. I should play with
it to see if I can get it to relay through my exchange server. Outgoing would
be a piece of cake. I am not sure how i would do the routing incoming though.

I would like to get NNTP working though.

It is the port 25 that would hinder the outcome. I just set up one of my Pi's to handle email, but I still had to use Google to receive the mail due to port 25 blocked by my ISP.

There are some Internet Providers who have switches to turn on port 25. If you can change the port to something else, say 2500 the SMTP can and will work. I do it on this BBS I am on. I retrieve my email via SMTP on my phone, haven't gotten outgoing email to work just yet but I haven't really tried... I was more
interested in being able to pull my emails from the Mystic BBS to my phone so I could validate New Users quicker..
