  • 13 Colonies off with a blast

    So,

    Hope you are all playing along and enjoying the 13 Colonies event. It's been a lot of pileups in this 1st day. 20m wasn't much good to me so I focused on 40 meters and have been rewarded with 8/13 + one bonus station WM3PEN thus far.
    Many are treating it more like a contest than a special event and it's sort of hybrid I suppose. I think there were some die hards that were really wound up when we kicked over to 02JUL24 and they didn't get them all in a day...
    I seem to remember the last time I did this event it was much more relaxed but then again I'm not sure I've ever hit it on opening day. It's an 8 day event!

    Pace yourselves, plenty of radio to go around.
