• [echoirlp] EchoIRLP reports wrong node number / Mysterious node number

    From Bob DeMattia, K1IW@432:1/101 to echoirlp@groups.io on Fri Jan 8 20:28:35 2021
My home echolink node is 87344, but when I connect to either of my club's EchoIRLP nodes,
the connection message AND node's log reports show my connection at 21723:

    Jan 08 2021 18:14:27 -0500 EchoIRLP: connected echolink K1IW 1
    Jan 08 2021 18:14:34 -0500 EchoIRLP: connected speakfreely K1MRA-R 2
    Jan 08 2021 18:17:25 -0500 EchoIRLP: disconnected bye K1IW 1
    Jan 08 2021 18:17:26 -0500 EchoIRLP: Node Disconnect from EchoLink 21723 K1IW Jan 08 2021 18:17:33 -0500 EchoIRLP: disconnected bye K1MRA-R 0

Likewise, I can connect to my home station from the club's repeater with either
    node number:

    Jan 08 2021 18:05:43 -0500 decode: DTMF = P21723
    Jan 08 2021 18:05:49 -0500 EchoIRLP: connected speakfreely K1MRA-R 1
    Jan 08 2021 18:05:49 -0500 EchoIRLP: connected outbound K1IW 2

    likewise...
    Jan 08 2021 18:12:09 -0500 decode: DTMF = P87344
    Jan 08 2021 18:12:15 -0500 EchoIRLP: connected speakfreely K1MRA-R 1
    Jan 08 2021 18:12:15 -0500 EchoIRLP: connected outbound K1IW 2

I contacted Echolink support, but they insist there is no node number 21723. Can anyone explain what seems to be an alias?

    73,
    Bob - K1IW

That is weird. You're not running 2 Echolink nodes behind the one router by any chance? That will cause similar behaviour.

That's the weirs part. To the best of my knowledge, I can confirm what the Echolink admins said - that node number doesn't exist.
