I couldn't pinpoint which exact version that I have originally heard yet
(the one that I described the feeling of on the post [1]), I will have
to search more; but it is definitely this song.
I have finally figured out which version I have originally listened
and described the feeling on the original post: it's the Kelly Chen's
1998 version [1] which was apparently popular in east and south-east Asia.
No wonder I thought the time frame was 1980~2010.

I'm enjoying the Supremes and the Toys versions of the song.
Other versions I found I'm enjoying today are 60s foxtrot(?) version sung by Sarah Vaughan [2] (very suitable for ballroom dance, I'd imagine),
together with more modern/applied band renditions like the one sung by Antonello Angiolillo [3] and another by Japanese chorus band jammin' Zeb [4] which gave completely different feelings.
Thank you, and have a melodiful day.
