1/2 ts Baking Powder
3 Pieces Green Cardamom
4 ts Ground Pistachios
2 c Water
1 c Water
2 c Milk
Sugar; honey, and salt to
-taste
Boil 2 cups water in steel saucepan. Bring the water to a boil. Add
tea leaves and baking powder. Leave tea to simmer for an hour. After
one hour, add crushed cardamom and boil for 15-30 minutes. When the
color of the tea darkens, strain it and remove the leaves. Add one
cup cold water and put the tea back to simmer for 10 minutes. Add
pistachio to the tea. Mix milk into the tea until the color becomes
pinkish. If the color is purple instead of pink, add more milk. Add
sugar, honey, and/or salt to taste.
