Yes it is; pretty much the most common kind of element

Yep! The question explicitly said that it is a chemical element.

I thought this was a genafvfgbe at first

That could be one of the possible answers if the question asked for
object too. (I intentionally put //qvbqr// and //YRQ// here as well,
to make it clear that the answer wasn't //genafvfgbe//)

Yeah. I wonder if it was too hard to identify a //zbovyr cubar onggrel//
from my drawing, or it was just that people no longer have //zbovyr cubarf// with //erzbinoyr onggrel// anymore...

What a pretty scene with which to cryptically represent FBQVHZ.
    Nicely drawn!

Thanks. Every time I looked at it, I momentarily forgot that it was
just an ASCII art (especially with creme-on-black color scheme
that my terminal use)... But I really have to rethink about how to draw
    a crescent moon though.

Here in use in a Trvtre pbhagre?

Well when I was drawing this, I was thinking of a stroboscope flash lamp (though ones marketed for that purpose is more likely to have
its tube in helical form for some reason). Never know that such thing
is used in/as that kind of measurement tube as well...
