    Correct!

For the sake of compatibility I've always stuck with Joliet.

Same (but I often keep in mind of pure ISO 9660 [no-extension] usage too).
I became aware of Rock Ridge the first time because I had backed up
old CD-ROMs with a shareware optical disc analysis tool called ISOBuster,
    and this filesystem sometimes shown up on the filesystem trees;
so I got curious about it.

    Cheers,

    Bullsye!

I got EF232 from that alphabet before I'd even
seen the 9-pin D-type connector in the picture

    Yikes, you're right; "2", "3", "2" was even shown there in-order.
Maybe I should have manually added other numerals in
    to mislead the eyes, really.

    it is very cleverly drawn

    Thank you.

That's it! Minus the lights it could also have been an RJ11
socket, commonly used on wired phones.

Cheers for fidelity and privacy of wired connection,

Not so much with wired phones these days - mine goes all crackly
every time it rains heavily and the 50+ year old phone lines get
    back to corroding some more.

P.S. By the way, what happened to your phlog at Aussies.space?
I remembered you said in the last entry that the server was going down
for "re-imagination", though I'm not quite sure what you meant by that.

The admin said that due to lack of use he'd reconfigure it without
shell access except for running IRC clients, and at the same time
apparantly he moved it to a different server. Anyway it was
supposed to be done by the end of Jan., but SFTP, SCP, and IMAP
connections are still refused, so work is (hopefully) still
ongoing. As such I can't upload any new content, or read emails
sent there. My backup freethoughtsforgopher@yandex.com email is
there in case anyone does want to email me.

I've been accumulating some new posts (and of course a broken link
to fix which I noticed just after I lost access) to upload when I
have the chance. If it's not working again by the end of this month
then I might think about setting up elsewhere.
